There is nothing quite like trading our office desks for running shoes, stepping out into the crisp morning air, and conquering new milestones as one united team. Recently, the Fiesta Tours and Travel family laced up, showed up, and brought an unmatched wave of energy to the annual FAME Fun Run!
We gathered feedback to see how our runners felt, and we are letting the team speak for themselves! Here is a look at the day through the eyes of the people who made it happen.
The Moments That Defined the Day
When asked about the most memorable moments of the event, an overwhelming theme echoed across the responses: the absolute triumph of the finish line. For many of our team members; spanning our Sales, Marine, and Accounting departments, nothing beat the sheer victory of completing the 5K track.
“Crossing the finish line and seeing my teammates cheering and completing the run together was the most memorable part for me,” shared an employee from Sales.
Others highlighted the strong team bonding that happened right after the hard work was done. One team member reminisced about “the bonding of the Accounting Department after the Fun Run, and the Zumba dance after the 5KM run, so energizing!” Meanwhile, a few runners noted that “finishing the race without injury” was a personal victory, alongside a heartfelt shout-out to the event partners: “Pocari Sweat presence helps a lot! Then fun running with officemates.“
One Team, One Heartbeat: The Spirit of Unity
A fun run isn’t just about the distance your feet cover; it’s about the people running beside you. Our employees’ responses highlighted a deep sense of shared pride, even though everyone ran at their own pace.
One employee beautifully summed up the experience on the track: “It felt amazing to see the whole Fiesta team out there together. Whether running or walking, everyone encouraged each other and stayed committed until the finish line. It was a proud moment that highlighted our teamwork, resilience, and the strong connections we share as a team.”
Another runner added: “We have different pace and speed, thus we don’t cross all in one at the finish line. Still, at the end, we finish the race with pride and happiness.” That collective motivation kept everyone moving forward. Team members noted feeling “fulfilled and inspiring,” “motivated and energized knowing that we achieved something together,” and simply “happy to see all the Fiesta team walking.” It also opened doors outside our internal circles, giving us “the opportunity to interact with and get to know colleagues from other departments” while allowing us to “see and connect with some of our clients” out on the track!
Why We Run: Health, Wealth, and Community
Our team clearly values the purpose behind getting active. When asked why participating in these community events matters, the feedback focused heavily on well-being and stress relief.
- Mental & Physical Well-being: As one employee put it, “Nowadays, health is wealth. Mental well-being is one of the most important things that we need to address.” Another pointed out that “running helps improve your mood and decreases mental health issues.“
- A Healthy Work Break: The event provided “a chance to refresh, stay active, and relieve stress,” giving everyone “a break from work and an opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues and friends.”
- Team Strengthening: The team noted it “promotes wellness, teamwork, and gives us an opportunity to connect outside of work,” while working to “foster a sense of community, boost morale, and reflect the organization’s commitment to employee well-being.”
